The Dream Sock tracks your baby's pulse rate (heart rate) and oxygen saturation (SpO2) during sleep using pulse oximetry technology. The app sends notifications when readings fall outside preset safe ranges — specifically when oxygen drops below 80% or when pulse rate goes below 50 bpm or above 220 bpm.
The Owlet Dream Sock is FDA-cleared and uses medical-grade pulse oximetry, but it is NOT intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease. It is NOT designed to prevent, diagnose, or treat Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Owlet is positioned as a wellness and peace-of-mind monitoring tool, and medical decisions should never be made solely based on Owlet data.

Yes. The Dream Sock's Base Station provides standalone alert functionality that works independently of your phone. If readings fall outside safe ranges, the Base Station will produce audible and visual alerts even if your phone is off or out of range. The app provides additional push notifications when your phone is connected.

Great product for monitoring baby's vitals. The Dream Sock tracks heart rate and oxygen very accurately. The app works well most of the time. Only minor complaint is occasional sync delays but overall very satisfied.
