Netvue — Official smart home companion app by NETVUE, INC. for IP cameras, smart doorbells, baby monitors, and bird feeders. HD live video streaming, two-way audio, motion detection with smart alerts, Amazon Alexa integration, cloud and SD card storage, playback and event history, device sharing, and night vision.
Netvue is the official companion app for Netvue smart home products including IP cameras, smart doorbells (like the Netvue Belle), baby monitors, smart sockets, and bird feeders. It provides live HD video streaming, two-way audio, motion detection alerts, video playback, cloud storage, device sharing, and Amazon Alexa integration — all from your smartphone.
Download the Netvue app, create an account or sign in, then tap the '+' button to add a new device. Follow the in-app setup wizard — your phone must be connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during setup (5GHz is not supported). The app will guide you through connecting the camera step by step, including QR code scanning or sound wave pairing.
Netvue Next is the upgraded version of the original Netvue app with a redesigned device list, streamlined onboarding, improved live view with 16:9 display, redesigned playback with faster cloud video retrieval, improved event management with swipe actions and batch deletion, dark mode, and in-app language switching. Both apps work with Netvue devices, but Netvue Next offers a more modern user experience.
Yes, all Netvue cameras and doorbells are compatible with Amazon Alexa. You can view live camera feeds on Echo Show, Fire TV, or other Alexa-enabled displays using voice commands like 'Alexa, show me the front door camera.' Enable the Netvue skill in the Alexa app to get started.
Netvue's primary smart assistant integration is with Amazon Alexa. Google Home compatibility varies by device model and firmware version. Check the Netvue support center or your specific device's documentation for the latest Google Home integration status.
No, the Netvue app is free to download and basic features like live view, two-way audio, motion alerts, and SD card recording are free. Netvue offers up to 30 days of free motion event image storage. The optional Netvue Protect Plan provides extended cloud video recording and advanced AI detection features as a paid subscription.
Netvue uses encrypted connections for video transmission and states that no personal data is sent to external parties. For maximum security, use a strong unique password, enable two-factor authentication if available, keep the app and camera firmware updated, and secure your home Wi-Fi network with WPA3 or WPA2 encryption.
There is no dedicated Netvue desktop application for PC. However, you can view your cameras through Amazon Alexa on a Fire TV Stick connected to your monitor, or use the iOS app natively on macOS with Apple Silicon (M1 or later). Some users also use Android emulators to run the app on PC.
Open the Netvue app, go to your camera's settings, and look for the sharing or guest access option. You can invite family members by their Netvue account email. Shared users can view live feeds and receive alerts, while the primary account owner retains full control over camera settings.
Most Netvue cameras have a physical reset button — press and hold it for 5-10 seconds until you hear a prompt or see the LED indicator change. This restores factory settings. After resetting, you'll need to set up the camera again through the Netvue app. Check your camera's manual for model-specific reset instructions.
I'm in complete shock to see how anyone could have given this app less than 5 stars! I have been using it for some time now, and it has always exceeded my expectations. Customer service is easy to contact right through the app, 24/7. This app and camera is a hundred times better than any other one I have used. They are always coming out with more features making it better! I definitely recommend this app & brand over even the most expensive brands on the market.
We use this app with the Birdfy bird feeder. The camera connection is easy and we have two feeders. The one in the backyard about 50' from the house has a strong connection. The picture quality is great. I have not had this app crash and have been using it for about 10 months. My only request would be to add a motion filter allowing us to adjust the detection distance. Very happy with the app and feeder.
I love the camera when it works, but it's 50/50 in picking up people and movement. Half the time the mailman is identified and the other half the camera doesn't record him. However, it will pick up vehicles passing on the street. Wish there was a fast forward for playback. The speaker response could be faster too.
I have 7 Vigil Netvue cameras. Kelly was helpful when I needed support. The cameras withstand the weather pretty well. Motion detection could be more consistent, and the audio has some latency. The latest app updates have improved things. For the price, it's decent value for home monitoring.
Been using Netvue with my Echo Show and it works great with Alexa voice commands. Just say 'show me the front door' and it pulls up the live feed instantly. Setup was straightforward once you know it needs 2.4GHz WiFi. The motion detection notifications are timely. Good affordable option for basic home security.
So far, I haven't seen any major issues. When I changed the network of the device connecting to the cam, it works flawlessly. 5 stars for adding more functionality at base level. I know everything is moving towards a subscription model, but I would be happy with no subscription models.
The Netvue app does what it needs to do. Live view is clear, notifications come through quickly, and I like that I can share camera access with my husband. We use it primarily as a baby monitor and the night vision is surprisingly good for the price. Would love a widget for quick camera access.
Decent camera app for the price. I have three Netvue cameras around my house and the app manages them well. The timeline playback for SD card recordings makes it easy to find specific events. Two-way audio works well enough for talking to delivery drivers. Alexa integration is a nice bonus.
The cameras themselves are great value. Picture quality is good and night vision is solid. The app can be slow to load sometimes and occasionally loses connection, but a quick refresh usually fixes it. Motion detection works well once you dial in the sensitivity settings. Overall acceptable for budget security.
Using Netvue for my Birdfy feeder and indoor camera. The bird feeder features are fun — AI identifies different species visiting. The indoor camera is reliable for checking on my pets during the day. App interface could use a refresh but it gets the job done. The 30 days free cloud image storage is a nice perk.
Netvue is the official smart home companion app developed by NETVUE, INC. (also known as NetvueTechnologies (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd). With the brand motto "In Sight, In Mind", Netvue serves as the central operating platform for the entire Netvue smart home ecosystem — including IP cameras, smart doorbells (like the world's first AI video doorbell, Netvue Belle), baby monitors, smart sockets, and smart bird feeders (Birdfy series). The app is available on both Google Play (500K+ downloads) and the App Store, providing a unified hub for live monitoring, device management, and smart home automation.
Whether you use a single Netvue indoor camera for baby monitoring or multiple Netvue outdoor cameras spread across your property, the Netvue app transforms your smartphone into a comprehensive remote monitoring center. All Netvue cameras and doorbells stream live HD video with two-way audio directly to your iPhone, iPad, or Android device, and they also work with Amazon Alexa for hands-free voice control.
The Netvue camera app delivers real-time HD video streaming from all connected cameras and doorbells. Watch what matters most from anywhere in the world — whether it's your front door, living room, nursery, or backyard bird feeder. The app supports smooth video playback with adjustable quality settings to match your network conditions.
Communicate directly through your Netvue camera's built-in speaker and microphone. Talk to visitors at your doorbell, comfort your baby remotely, or even scare off intruders — all through the Netvue app's two-way audio feature.
Receive instant push notifications whenever motion is detected in your camera's field of view. Netvue's motion detection system lets you customize sensitivity levels and detection zones to reduce false alerts from pets, passing vehicles, or swaying trees. Focus only on the events that matter to your home security.
Netvue offers dual storage options: local SD card recording for on-device storage and Netvue Protect Plan for cloud-based event video recording. The cloud plan provides up to 30 days of free motion event image storage, while paid protection plans unlock extended video recording history and advanced AI detection features.
Browse your camera's motion event timeline to quickly find and review important moments. Access recordings stored on SD cards or in the cloud with an intuitive playback interface. Download clips directly to your phone for sharing or evidence preservation.
All Netvue cameras and doorbells are compatible with Amazon Alexa. Use voice commands to view your camera feeds on Echo Show, Fire TV, or other Alexa-enabled displays. Simply say "Alexa, show me the front door" for instant hands-free monitoring.
Share camera access with family members and trusted contacts through the app's built-in sharing feature. Multiple users can view the same camera feeds simultaneously, making Netvue ideal for multi-person households, elderly care, and childcare monitoring.
Netvue cameras feature infrared night vision for clear visibility in complete darkness. Monitor your home around the clock without any additional lighting equipment.
