Local SD card recording is free. Cloud storage may be available as an optional service depending on your camera model and configuration.
How do I add a camera to VideoLink?
Open the VideoLink app and tap 'Add Device'. You can add a camera by scanning the QR code on the camera, entering the device serial number manually, or using the network search feature to find cameras on your local Wi-Fi network. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process.
Why won't VideoLink connect to my camera?
Common connection issues include: the camera only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (not 5GHz), the Wi-Fi password contains unsupported special characters, the camera is too far from the router, or the camera firmware needs updating. Ensure you're on a 2.4GHz network, move the camera closer to the router during setup, and check for firmware updates in the app.
Does VideoLink work on PC or Mac?
VideoLink is designed as a mobile app for iOS (12.0+) and Android devices. There is no official desktop application for PC or Mac. The iOS version runs on Macs with Apple M1 chip or later through Apple silicon compatibility. Some users run the Android version via emulators, but this is not officially supported.
Can I share my camera with other people?
Yes, VideoLink supports device sharing. You can invite family members, housemates, or colleagues to view your camera by sharing access through the app. Shared users can watch the live feed and may have limited access to camera settings depending on the permission level you configure.
What cameras are compatible with VideoLink?
VideoLink works with Wi-Fi IP cameras powered by the Anjvision platform, including PTZ dome cameras, fixed indoor/outdoor cameras, battery-powered wireless cameras, and compatible NVR/DVR systems. Supported camera brands include various OEM manufacturers that use the Anjvision chipset and cloud infrastructure.
How do I fix VideoLink push notification issues?
If push notifications are not working: check that notifications are enabled for VideoLink in your phone's system settings, ensure the motion detection feature is turned on in the camera settings within the app, verify your phone is not in Do Not Disturb mode, and make sure the app has background activity permissions enabled.
Does VideoLink support cloud storage?
Yes, VideoLink supports cloud service storage for motion-triggered recordings. Cloud storage provides off-site backup so your footage is protected even if the camera or SD card is damaged. The availability and pricing of cloud storage plans may vary depending on your region and camera model.
How do I reset my VideoLink password?
On the VideoLink login screen, tap 'Forgot Password'. Enter the email address associated with your account and you will receive a verification code to reset your password. If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder. For additional help, visit the support page at videolinkapp.com.

Using this for my small retail store with two cameras. Basic monitoring works fine — live view and playback are reliable. The motion alerts occasionally trigger from shadows but overall it does what I need for the price (free).
