Introduction
Tris Home is a smart home monitoring application designed for managing security cameras, video doorbells, smart door locks, and bird feeder cameras through cloud or local Wi-Fi connectivity. Available on both iOS and Android, Tris Home provides a unified interface for real-time video surveillance, remote playback, motion-triggered alerts, and device management — making it a practical companion for homeowners, bird enthusiasts, and anyone looking to keep an eye on their property from anywhere.
What Is Tris Home?
Tris Home is network monitoring software that supports both cloud login and local Wi-Fi login. Through cloud ID access, users can connect to their devices remotely from any location. The local Wi-Fi mode allows direct connection within the same network, with manual LAN device search for straightforward setup without relying on external servers.
The app works with a range of smart devices including robot cameras (PTZ), bullet cameras, video doorbells, smart door locks, and smart bird feeder cameras — a growing product category in the Tris Home ecosystem that has attracted a dedicated user community.
Core Monitoring Features
Tris Home delivers a comprehensive set of surveillance and monitoring tools:
Real-Time Live View — Stream live video from connected cameras with low latency, whether at home or away
Remote Video Playback — Access recorded footage remotely to review past events
Local Recording & Playback — Store recordings on SD cards for on-device playback without cloud dependency
Snapshot & Picture Preview — Capture still images and browse saved snapshots directly in the app
Audio Monitoring — Listen to live audio from camera locations for two-way or one-way communication
Device Password Management — Change device passwords directly through the app for security maintenance
LAN Device Discovery — Manually search for and add devices on the local network
These features cover the essential surveillance workflow: watch live, record events, review footage, and manage devices — all from a single mobile interface.

Can I use Tris Home without internet?
Partially. Tris Home supports local Wi-Fi login for direct connection within the same network, so live viewing and local recording work without internet. However, remote access, push notifications, and cloud storage features require an internet connection.
How does the AI bird identification feature work?
The AI bird identification attempts to recognize bird species that visit your feeder camera. It works automatically with motion-triggered recordings and maintains a log of sightings. Note that identification accuracy may vary — some users report approximately 50% accuracy depending on bird species and camera positioning.
Is my data safe with Tris Home?
According to the Google Play listing, Tris Home does not share data with third parties, encrypts data in transit, and supports data deletion requests. Why is my camera not connecting to the app?
Common solutions include: ensuring your Wi-Fi password doesn't contain special symbols (which may cause connection issues), checking that Bluetooth is enabled for initial pairing, restarting both the camera and the app, and ensuring your phone's battery settings don't restrict the Tris Home app's background activity. For persistent issues, contact support at [email protected].
Does Tris Home offer cloud storage?
Yes, Tris Home offers optional cloud storage subscriptions for storing recordings beyond what fits on a local SD card. New users typically receive a free trial month of cloud storage. Cloud storage enables remote access to recorded footage and provides backup in case the local SD card is damaged or removed.

This is my first Smart Bird Feeder and I'm looking forward to trying out the AI smart bird identification feature. The App has been easy to navigate and the camera linked immediately. I like the voice prompts that occur in both the App and the camera itself. I was surprised to find a long list of FAQ's, help videos, and expanded instructions across all app-supported smart devices.

This is a really nice birdfeeder, but there are a few issues with it. I really love that the camera continuously records as long as it detects motion. Other cameras only record on average a minimum of 20 seconds where this one with the SD card inserted I've been able to record as long as I want. The camera is amazing as well. It records crisp and clear images even at night.

I'm very happy with the camera, the app, and customer service. The camera works well, and the perfect solution to see what's going on when I'm not home. The app makes it super easy for setup, to control the view and to contact customer service; and they are prompt and so helpful.
Google Play
I have been using this app for my Bird Feeder and it works really well. All the features work as expected and I also got a month of free cloud storage. The app is able to recognize all the birds and have a clear log of all sightings. It is easy to use and does not drain battery.
Google Play
The Quality is Great, But The Alarms Have Disappeared! There were multiple sayings and a custom one for the intelligent alarm and now they have disappeared and the alarm is not going off. I literally just started using this less than 24 hours ago and 5 hours after setting it up, they just disappeared from the app!
Google Play
Took a few minutes to set up, not too bad. Great picture quality from camera. The AI for the birds is not accurate at all, at the most 50% recognition. As someone mentioned in an earlier review, it's to the point that it is comical. Many times, I use a separate app to identify the different birds. So far, it has turned out OK.
Google Play
The instructions that come in the package is very limited and not user friendly to set up. But with persistence, was able to. Was having problems with notifications not being sent to my phone, but through the online live chat was able to resolve it. It works now.

Smart Bird Feeder Camera Integration
One of Tris Home's most distinctive use cases is its integration with smart bird feeder cameras. These solar-powered outdoor cameras combine a bird feeder with a motion-activated camera, and Tris Home serves as the control hub for:
Motion-Triggered Recording — The camera records continuously as long as motion is detected, unlike many competitors that cap recordings at 20 seconds
AI Bird Identification — The app includes smart bird recognition that attempts to identify bird species visiting the feeder
Intelligent Alarm System — Configurable alerts with multiple notification sounds and custom alarm options for bird activity and motion events
Solar Charging Monitoring — Track the charging status of solar-powered bird feeder cameras
Cloud Storage Integration — Optional cloud storage subscriptions with a free trial month for storing bird footage and detection logs
The bird feeder camera ecosystem has become a significant part of the Tris Home user base, with many users specifically downloading the app for backyard birding and wildlife observation.
Security Camera & Smart Home Features
Beyond bird feeders, Tris Home supports traditional home security monitoring:
Multi-Device Dashboard — Manage multiple cameras, doorbells, and locks from a single screen
One-Click Sharing — Share camera access with family members for collaborative home monitoring
Smart Alerts & Notifications — Receive push notifications for motion detection and other triggered events
Cloud & Local Connectivity — Choose between cloud-based remote access or local Wi-Fi direct connection based on your needs
Device Configuration — Adjust camera settings including resolution, detection sensitivity, and recording preferences
Setup & Connectivity
Getting started with Tris Home follows a guided process:
Download the Tris Home app from the App Store or Google Play
Create an account or log in with existing credentials
Tap "+" to add a new device
Connect your phone to Wi-Fi and enable Bluetooth for assisted pairing
Enter Wi-Fi credentials and follow in-app guidance until the device appears in your device list
The app supports Bluetooth-assisted onboarding, which simplifies the initial device pairing process. Once connected, devices can be managed remotely through cloud access or locally when on the same Wi-Fi network.
Privacy & Data Handling
According to its store listings, Tris Home takes a conservative approach to data handling:
No data shared with third parties (per Google Play disclosure)
Data encrypted in transit for secure communication
Data deletion requests supported for user data removal
Data collected but not linked to identity may include location, user content, identifiers, and other data (per Apple App Store disclosure)
For users concerned about privacy, the local Wi-Fi connection mode provides an option to access cameras without routing video through external cloud servers.
Who Is Tris Home For?
Tris Home serves several distinct user groups:
Homeowners who want affordable, app-controlled security cameras for indoor and outdoor monitoring
Bird Enthusiasts looking for a smart bird feeder camera system with AI identification and motion-triggered recording
Renters & Small Businesses who need a simple, no-contract camera monitoring solution
