ToSeePlus – Smart Camera is a free iOS and macOS app by Tocoding Technologies for managing battery-powered Wi-Fi security cameras, video doorbells, and 4K sports-style cameras. Features live streaming, two-way audio, PIR motion detection, IR night vision, SD card recording, remote wake-up, and optional cloud storage.
ToSeePlus – Smart Camera is a free app for remotely monitoring and controlling battery-powered Wi-Fi security cameras, video doorbells, and dual-lens 4K panoramic sports cameras. It lets you watch live video, receive instant push alerts when motion is detected or a doorbell is pressed, speak through the camera via two-way audio, and review locally stored or cloud-backed footage from anywhere.
ToSeePlus is not officially listed on the Google Play Store. It is available for iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch), macOS (Apple M1 or later), and Apple Vision. Android users can download the APK from the official website at tosee.app or from third-party sources such as Campark's app download page. Always download APKs from official or trusted sources only.
No mandatory subscription is required for basic use. Live video streaming, remote camera wake-up, two-way audio, PIR motion detection, push notifications, and local SD card recording are all available without a subscription. An optional paid cloud storage plan (approximately $40/year or a small monthly fee) is available if you want cloud-based event recording and remote playback beyond what the SD card stores.
Power on your compatible camera and ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (5 GHz is not supported during setup). Download and install ToSeePlus from the App Store, create an account, and log in. Tap the '+' button to add a device, select your camera model, and scan the QR code on the camera or follow the on-screen pairing instructions. Once paired, the camera will appear on your home dashboard.
ToSeePlus-compatible cameras connect exclusively to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks using the 802.11b/g/n standard. 5 GHz networks are not supported. If your router broadcasts both bands under the same network name (SSID), you may need to temporarily separate them or connect your phone to the 2.4 GHz band during the initial camera setup.
Battery-powered ToSeePlus cameras enter a low-power sleep mode between motion events to extend battery life. When you open the ToSeePlus app and tap on a camera tile, the app sends a wake-up command to the device over the internet. Within a few seconds, the camera activates and begins streaming live video. This on-demand activation is a key advantage over always-on cameras that drain the battery continuously.
Footage is stored in two ways. Local storage: motion-triggered clips are recorded to a microSD card inside the camera (typically up to 32–64 GB depending on the model) — no subscription required. Cloud storage: an optional paid subscription backs up event recordings to the cloud, allowing remote playback even after the SD card has been overwritten. The SD card is the primary no-cost storage option.
ToSeePlus is designed for cameras manufactured by or licensed to Tocoding Technologies Co., Ltd. Several OEM hardware brands officially list ToSeePlus as their companion app, including Campark. Some compatible camera models also support the Tuya smart home ecosystem, giving users flexibility to use either app. Using ToSeePlus with cameras not designed for it is generally not supported.
Two-way audio lets you speak to and hear anyone within range of your camera's built-in microphone and speaker through the ToSeePlus app. In the live view screen, tap the microphone icon to activate your phone's microphone — your voice plays through the camera's speaker instantly. This works with compatible cameras and doorbells, enabling real-time conversation with visitors, family members at home, or delivery drivers.
ToSeePlus currently holds a 1.9-star rating on the App Store based on 165 reviews, reflecting real user feedback. Common complaints include overly sensitive motion detection causing frequent unwanted notifications, occasional delayed triggers for motion events, and the fact that the app has not received major updates since version 1.1.8 in May 2021. Users who need basic, reliable monitoring at low cost report positive experiences, while users expecting a polished, frequently-updated app may be disappointed. Review the app changelog and user feedback carefully before purchasing compatible hardware.
ToSeePlus supports macOS 11.0 or later on Apple Silicon (M1 and later) Macs through the Mac App Store. There is no dedicated Windows PC client. iPhone and iPad apps can be run natively on Apple Silicon Macs without modification, giving desktop monitoring capabilities to Mac users. Windows users should use an iOS device or Android APK.
For what I paid for this device it is great. I give it a 4 because it is almost perfect for my needs but on high sensitivity it is too sensitive and the medium could be a little more sensitive. I had no problem connecting to Wi-Fi and installing. Be prepared to have a small monthly fee or $40 a year to continue having movement videos saved for viewing. To me it was worth it especially compared to competitor pricing. The video is great quality.
For the cost definitely worth it so far. Does everything it promises and pretty simple to use. We use it at an inn where someone is available to assist but not always around. Works exactly as promised and at an incredible price! My only recommendation is that there are no notification settings within the app, so in my case when I'm not 'on duty' I have to go into my settings to disable notifications. I would also recommend being able to delete specific recordings. Would definitely recommend!
The camera hardware works well and the app connects reliably. Live stream quality is good for a battery-powered camera. Setup was straightforward — scan the QR code and connect to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Main wish is that the app would get more frequent updates and the notification settings could be more granular.
Good value for a wire-free security camera app. The remote wake-up feature is clever — the camera stays in sleep mode to save battery and wakes up when you open the app. Two-way audio works well. Night vision quality is decent up to about 5 meters.
Works as described for basic monitoring. The PIR detection catches most motion events. Battery life on the camera is good when the sleep mode is enabled. The app is simple — no extra features, no clutter — which is actually fine for what I need.
Using it at our small shop. The live view is clear and the push notifications are fast — we get alerted within seconds of motion being detected. The cloud storage at $40/year is reasonable compared to what Ring and Arlo charge. The app could use a UI refresh but it does the job reliably.
Great solution for areas where running electrical is not practical. The battery-powered cameras with the ToSeePlus app cover my barn and gate. The remote wake-up and live view work consistently over my cellular hotspot. SD card recording captures what I need without cloud fees.
Solid foundation — the Wi-Fi P2P streaming is stable and the PIR motion detection is responsive. What I appreciate is the local-first storage approach: footage goes to SD card without any mandatory subscription. The app hasn't been updated in a while but it still works fine with current iOS.
Really impressed with the video quality for the price. Setup was easy — just download the app, create an account, and scan the QR code. Motion alerts come through immediately. The doorbell mode works great for our small apartment — we can see and talk to visitors from anywhere.
Been using this with my Campark camera for over a year. The core functionality — live view, recording, notifications — all works. The app is minimal but stable. Would like to see improvements to the playback interface. Overall a reliable if basic solution for battery-powered camera monitoring.
ToSeePlus – Smart Camera is a free mobile and desktop application developed by Tocoding Technologies Co., Ltd. that transforms your smartphone into a complete command center for battery-powered Wi-Fi security cameras, video doorbells, and compact 4K action-style cameras. Whether you're monitoring your home remotely, checking in on family, recording outdoor adventures, or protecting your front door 24 hours a day, ToSeePlus brings all your connected cameras together in a single, streamlined interface.
Built for the growing category of ultra-low-power, battery-operated security cameras — devices that can be placed anywhere without wiring — ToSeePlus focuses on delivering reliable remote access, intelligent motion alerts, and seamless two-way communication. The app is available for iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch), macOS (M1 and later), and Apple Vision, and is also distributed as an Android APK for compatible devices.
The defining advantage of ToSeePlus-compatible cameras is their battery-powered, wire-free design. Ultra-low power consumption means cameras can be deployed in locations that would otherwise be impossible: fence lines, detached garages, storage units, rental properties, or anywhere an outlet isn't available. Once connected to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, cameras enter a sleep mode to conserve battery, waking instantly when motion is detected or when you remotely activate them through the app.
Remote wake-up is a signature feature: open ToSeePlus, tap your camera tile, and within seconds you're watching a live 1080p or 4K feed from wherever you are in the world. This active-wake approach dramatically extends battery life compared to always-on cameras, making ToSeePlus-compatible hardware an attractive option for locations where charging opportunities are infrequent.
Every ToSeePlus-compatible camera and doorbell with a built-in speaker and microphone supports real-time two-way audio talkback. Speak to family members at home, greet delivery drivers at your door, or deter unwanted visitors — all without being physically present. The communication is barrier-free: tap the microphone icon in the live view, and your voice plays through the camera speaker instantly.
This feature is particularly valuable for video doorbell users who want to screen visitors, communicate with service providers, or simply check who's at the door without opening it.
ToSeePlus-compatible cameras use PIR (Passive Infrared) motion detection combined with AI-based human motion recognition on supported models. When the system detects movement — particularly human figures — it triggers an instant push notification to your phone. Alerts arrive fast enough for real-time response, whether that means waking the camera for a live view, speaking through two-way audio, or simply reviewing a motion-triggered recording.
For video doorbell users, a dedicated doorbell press alert notifies you the moment a visitor rings — enabling you to respond remotely as if you were home.
Equipped with infrared (IR) night vision, ToSeePlus-compatible cameras maintain clear visibility in complete darkness, typically up to 5–10 meters. The automatic IR-cut filter ensures accurate color reproduction during the day while switching seamlessly to black-and-white night vision when ambient light drops. This means your property is monitored around the clock — not just during daylight hours.
Video recordings are stored either locally on a microSD card (commonly up to 32–64 GB, no subscription required) or optionally backed up to cloud storage (available via paid subscription, approximately $40/year). The local-first storage approach means you own your footage without ongoing costs — a key benefit for users who've grown frustrated with mandatory cloud subscription models from other camera brands.
Motion-triggered recording captures events automatically, and the app provides a timeline-based playback interface for reviewing footage by date and time.
Beyond home security, ToSeePlus also supports a line of compact dual-lens 4K panoramic cameras designed for action and outdoor use. These sports-DV-style cameras prioritize portability and instant recording: fast start, one-key record so you never miss important moments. Whether mounted on a helmet, backpack, or dashboard, the app gives you remote control and instant playback access.
