TinoSec — IoT security camera app for real-time video monitoring, two-way audio, motion detection alerts, and remote camera management. Connect and control TinoSec-compatible Wi-Fi cameras, solar cameras, PoE systems, and NVR devices from your iPhone or Android with panoramic viewing and smart home integration.
TinoSec is a free IoT webcam app designed to connect your TinoSec-branded security cameras to your smartphone. It provides live video streaming, two-way audio, motion detection alerts, panoramic PTZ control, and remote camera management. The app works with TinoSec Wi-Fi cameras, solar cameras, PoE systems, and NVR devices.
To set up a TinoSec camera: download the TinoSec app from the App Store or Google Play, create an account, power on your camera and put it in pairing mode, then follow the in-app instructions to connect the camera to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Most TinoSec cameras do not support 5 GHz networks, so ensure your router has a 2.4 GHz band available.
Not all TinoSec brand cameras use the TinoSec app. The Tinosec hardware brand supports multiple companion apps including TinoSec, Yoosee, XMEye Pro/iCSee, EseeCloud, Tuya/Smart Life, and Vicohome depending on the camera model. Check your camera's packaging or product page to confirm which app is required for your specific model.
Yes, TinoSec is free to download and use. Core features including live video streaming, two-way audio, motion detection alerts, and local SD card recording are all free. Optional cloud storage subscriptions may be available for remote footage backup, but they are not required for basic camera operation.
Common connection issues include: using a 5 GHz network instead of 2.4 GHz (most TinoSec cameras only support 2.4 GHz), weak Wi-Fi signal near the camera location, incorrect Wi-Fi password, or firewall blocking. Try moving the camera closer to your router during setup, verify you're on a 2.4 GHz band, and restart both your router and camera.
Yes, most TinoSec cameras support local recording to TF/SD cards. Insert a compatible micro SD card into the camera's card slot, and the camera will automatically begin recording. You can access recorded footage through the playback feature in the TinoSec app. This allows you to store video without a cloud subscription.
Some TinoSec camera models support Amazon Alexa and Google Home integration for voice-controlled viewing on smart displays. Check your specific camera model's product page on tinosec.com to confirm smart home compatibility. Not all models support this feature.
TinoSec primarily operates through the mobile app on iOS and Android. There is no dedicated PC or Mac desktop client currently available. Some TinoSec camera systems support RTSP streaming, which allows viewing through third-party software on a computer. Check your camera model's specifications for RTSP support details.
Motion detection sensitivity can be adjusted in the TinoSec app's camera settings. Common causes of false alerts include wind-blown plants, passing vehicles, insects near the camera lens, or shadows. Try reducing the motion sensitivity, adjusting the detection zone, or switching to PIR human detection mode if your camera supports it to reduce false triggers.
To factory reset a TinoSec camera, locate the physical reset button on the camera body (usually a small pinhole button). Press and hold the reset button for 10-15 seconds until you hear a voice prompt or see the indicator light change. This restores factory settings. After resetting, you'll need to set up the camera again in the TinoSec app as a new device.
This was very easy to set up. Much easier than the last one that I had, but I changed to 5G and my old one would not accept it. The camera is very sensitive and picks up bush movement as well as people walking by. Great picture quality and the tracking works well.
The camera provides high resolution images and videos in both day and night. The 2-way talking function works perfectly. Easy to install and move around. Automatically detects events and saves to cloud. Would be great if there's a PC app available for desktop viewing.
Great little cameras! The picture is so clear and the tracking is great! I set one up in my living room and it follows movement perfectly. I'm definitely going to order more for the rest of the house. Very impressed with the quality for the price.
The KO4 camera is really great. Really easy to use and really easy to install! I'm planning to purchase additional TinoSec models for my home exterior. The app interface is clean and straightforward. Highly recommend for anyone looking for affordable home security.
These cameras are excellent. Being solar powered, you don't have to use power to run them other than your WiFi connection. Picture quality is clear day and night. Motion detection works reliably. Great value for money.
Good camera app for the price. Live view connects quickly and the two-way audio is clear. Motion alerts are reliable when sensitivity is properly adjusted. Night vision is surprisingly good on the outdoor cameras. The only downside is occasional connectivity hiccups.
Solid camera management app. I have 4 TinoSec cameras and can switch between them smoothly. The auto-tracking feature works well for monitoring my driveway. App updates have improved stability over time. Would like to see a desktop version.
Does what it needs to do for basic home monitoring. Setup was a bit tricky at first but works fine once connected. Live view is clear on WiFi. The motion detection can be over-sensitive to wind and shadows, but adjusting the settings helps. Good for the price.
Using this with two TinoSec solar cameras in my backyard. Love that they're solar powered so no wiring needed. The app handles multiple cameras well. PIR detection is much better than basic motion detection for reducing false alerts. Recommended for outdoor monitoring.
Perfect for keeping an eye on my pets while I'm at work! The tracking feature follows my cat around the room which is great. Two-way audio lets me talk to my dog. The night vision mode is clear enough to see everything. Very happy with this setup.
