Introduction
Remote video monitoring has become a daily necessity for homeowners, parents, and small business owners who want to keep an eye on what matters most. Danale is a cloud-connected IoT camera app that turns your smartphone into a portable monitoring station — giving you live video feeds, recorded playback, motion alerts, and PTZ camera control from anywhere with an internet connection.
Developed by Danale Inc. (also known as Danale Technology Co., Ltd), the app has earned over 1 million downloads on Google Play and serves a global user base across 13 languages. Whether you are checking on your baby, watching your front door, or monitoring a warehouse, Danale provides the remote access layer that connects your IP cameras, DVRs, and NVRs to your phone.
What Is Danale?
Danale is a free mobile app for viewing and managing compatible security cameras and video recorders remotely. The app connects to IPC (IP cameras), DVRs, and NVRs through Danale's P2P cloud platform, letting you watch live video, play back recordings, receive alarm push notifications, capture snapshots, and control PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras — all from your iPhone or Android device.
On Google Play the app is listed as Danale Cam, while on the App Store it appears as Danale IoT. Despite the different store names, both apps connect to the same Danale cloud platform and provide the same core monitoring features.
Core Features
Danale delivers a focused set of surveillance and monitoring tools:
Live View — Stream real-time video from connected IP cameras, DVRs, and NVRs over Wi-Fi or cellular data
Recorded Playback — Browse and play back stored footage from your device's local storage or cloud recordings
Danale is a free mobile app for remote video monitoring. It connects to compatible IP cameras, DVRs, and NVRs through Danale's P2P cloud platform, letting you watch live video, play back recordings, receive motion alerts, capture snapshots, and control PTZ cameras from your smartphone. On Google Play it is listed as Danale Cam, and on the App Store as Danale IoT.
Is the Danale app free to use?
Yes, the Danale app is free to download and use on both iOS and Android. The core features including live view, playback, PTZ control, snapshots, and motion alerts are available at no cost. Cloud storage is an optional paid subscription service for users who want off-site video backup.
How do I add a camera to the Danale app?
To add a camera: open the Danale app, sign in to your account, tap 'Add Device', and follow the on-screen instructions. You can scan the QR code on your camera or enter the device serial number manually. Make sure your camera is powered on and connected to your Wi-Fi network before adding it.
Can I view my Danale cameras remotely over the internet?
Yes, Danale uses P2P cloud connectivity for remote access. Once your camera is added to your Danale account and connected to the internet, you can view live feeds and playback recordings from anywhere using your phone's Wi-Fi or cellular data connection. No complex port forwarding is required.
Why does my Danale camera show offline?
Camera offline issues are usually caused by network problems. Check that your camera is powered on and connected to the internet. Verify your router is working and the camera's Wi-Fi signal is strong. Try restarting the camera and your router. If the problem persists, re-add the device in the app or contact Danale support at [email protected].
Does Danale support cloud storage?
Yes, Danale offers a cloud storage subscription service. Cloud recordings are encrypted and stored on secure servers for the duration of your subscription. When the service ends or is terminated, stored recordings are deleted. Cloud storage provides off-site backup protection in case your camera or local storage is damaged or stolen.
Can multiple family members use the same Danale account?
Danale has a limitation where only one device can be logged into an account at a time. If another family member logs in, the first user will be automatically logged out. This means shared monitoring requires passing the active session between users. Some users report not receiving a notification when they are logged out by another device.
What cameras are compatible with the Danale app?
Danale works with IP cameras, DVRs, and NVRs that are built to use the Danale cloud platform. Many third-party camera brands integrate Danale's cloud service into their hardware, including some models from Zoohi, Momentum, and other OEM manufacturers. Check your camera's documentation or packaging to confirm Danale compatibility.
Is there a Danale app for PC or Mac?
The primary Danale experience is on mobile devices (iOS and Android). The iOS version also runs on Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or later) through macOS 11.0 or later. For Windows PC access, check the Danale website (danale.com) for any available desktop software or CMS tools.
How do I fix the Danale app crashing or not working?
If the Danale app crashes or does not work properly: make sure you have the latest app version installed, restart the app, clear the app cache in your phone settings, restart your phone, and ensure you have a stable internet connection. If problems persist after an app update, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

I have used the Danale app for my camera for over 4 years now. First used as a baby monitor, never had an issue and loved the subscription service to save clips. I really like how most motions are saved are 2 minutes long. Now it's being used for house camera. I'm actually considering adding more cameras because I like this app so much.
Pricing InfoFree to download and use. Cloud storage is an optional paid subscription service for encrypted off-site video backup. All core features including live view, playback, PTZ control, snapshots, and motion alerts are available at no cost.
The features are there but notifications when selected don't take you to the recorded event. It takes you to the cloud version which is not supported with my setup. There are no bookmarks in the timeline indicating motion detections. The app has potential but needs UX improvements for accessing recorded events quickly.

I just purchased a 4 camera system. The box HAS to be hard wired to your WiFi modem in order to view the cameras on your phone. Once connected to your router/modem, it transmits directly to your phone via the modem. This is not mentioned in any of the instructions but once figured out, the system works.

Decent app for monitoring my home cameras. Setup was quick using the QR code method. Live view works well on Wi-Fi and acceptable on cellular. Cloud storage pricing is reasonable. My only complaint is the single-device login limitation — wish my spouse could also view cameras simultaneously.

Using Danale for baby monitoring and backyard surveillance. The motion alerts work reliably and the 2-minute clip saving is great for reviewing events. Picture quality is good in 1080p. Would give 5 stars if they fixed the multi-user login issue.
Google Play
Works great! Using the Danale App, I can view each video camera in 1080p. Picture quality is pretty good, and you can record or take screenshots of the live feeds. If your box is plugged into your internet router, you can watch all the videos stored on the HD. Pretty slick, and best of all, there is no monthly subscription!
Google Play
Hope Danale can add playback speed options like 1.25x, 1.5x, and 2x for reviewing hard drive recordings. The app works well overall for daily monitoring and the video quality is solid. Just need those playback speed controls to make reviewing footage faster.
Google Play
Solid free app for IP camera monitoring. No ads, no forced subscriptions. PTZ controls are responsive and the P2P connection is generally reliable. I manage 3 cameras across two locations and it handles switching between them well. Cloud storage is optional which I appreciate.
Google Play
The app does what it needs to do — live view, playback, and alerts all work. Interface feels dated compared to newer camera apps but functionality is there. Remote viewing over cellular can be laggy sometimes. Free with no mandatory subscription is a plus for budget-conscious users.
Google Play
Been using Danale for warehouse security cameras for about a year. Connection is stable on local network, remote access works through P2P without port forwarding hassle. Motion alerts help me track after-hours activity. Good value since it's free to use with my existing NVR system.
