What Is the Chekoh App?
Chekoh is a free mobile application developed by Beijing Jiahua Hengtai Technology Co., Ltd. for managing Chekoh-branded Wi-Fi IP security cameras. Available on both iOS and Android, the Chekoh app lets you monitor your home, business, or any location remotely with real-time live video. It supports up to 16 cameras on a single account, with the ability to view up to 4 cameras simultaneously.
With a 2.8 rating on the App Store and 2.9 on Google Play, the Chekoh app has over 10,000 downloads and is trusted by homeowners, small business owners, and families who want affordable, round-the-clock security monitoring.

The Chekoh app is a free mobile application for managing Chekoh-branded Wi-Fi security cameras on iOS and Android. It provides live HD video streaming, two-way audio, motion detection alerts, night vision monitoring, and supports up to 16 cameras per account with up to 15 authorized users.
Is the Chekoh app free?
Yes, the Chekoh app is free to download and use. Core features including live viewing, two-way audio, motion alerts, and local storage recording are available at no cost. The app contains ads. Optional cloud storage subscriptions are available as in-app purchases for those who want off-site backups.
How do I set up the Chekoh app with my camera?
Download the Chekoh app, create an account, and power on your Chekoh camera. Wait for the voice prompt indicating the camera is ready. Tap 'Add Device' in the app and follow the on-screen instructions. Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network password when prompted. The camera uses voice-guided pairing to connect to your network in minutes.
Why won't my Chekoh camera connect to Wi-Fi?
The most common cause is using a 5GHz Wi-Fi network — Chekoh cameras only support 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Other causes include the camera being too far from the router, a Wi-Fi password containing unusual special characters, or too many devices on the network. Move the camera closer to the router during setup and ensure you're on a 2.4GHz network.
How many users can share a Chekoh camera?
The Chekoh app supports up to 15 authorized users per camera. The primary account holder can invite family members or teammates directly through the app. Shared users can view live feeds and receive motion alerts, with permission levels controlled by the account owner.
How do I use the Chekoh camera memory card for storage?
Insert a compatible microSD memory card into your Chekoh camera. The app will detect the card automatically and begin recording motion-triggered or continuous footage. Chekoh cameras can store up to 20 days of recordings on a memory card. Access playback through the app's recording section. No subscription is required for local storage.
Why is the Chekoh playback showing incorrect dates?
Date and time issues in Chekoh playback are typically caused by the camera's clock not syncing properly with your time zone. Open the Chekoh app, go to device settings, and verify the time zone configuration. Re-syncing the device time through the settings menu usually resolves incorrect playback timestamps.
Can I view Chekoh cameras on PC or Mac?
The Chekoh app is designed for iOS and Android mobile devices and does not have an official PC or Mac desktop application. Some users access the Chekoh camera view on PC using an Android emulator such as BlueStacks, but this is not officially supported by the developer.
How do I fix 'camera goes offline' on Chekoh?
The most common fix for Chekoh cameras going offline is replacing the power supply. Some cameras ship with underpowered adapters that cause intermittent disconnections. Use a higher-quality power adapter with the correct voltage and amperage for your camera model. Also check that your router firmware is up to date and the camera is within strong Wi-Fi range.
Does Chekoh have cloud storage?
Yes, Chekoh offers optional cloud storage as an in-app purchase. Cloud storage automatically saves motion-triggered video clips to secure remote servers, giving you access to footage even if your camera or memory card is unavailable. For users who prefer free storage, local memory card recording (up to 20 days) is included at no cost.

App Store
This is by far one of the best cameras and apps I've used. Everything just works great. My only recommendations are 1) there is no way to rearrange the order of the cameras in the app — they are in the order of installation, and 2) the alert view for motion detection recordings does not let you sort your videos by camera. A couple of tweaks and this app would be perfect!

The cameras are great, especially when you are viewing them on your iPhone. The problem is when you are trying to view the cameras on an iPad — you get a very small picture and if you turn your iPad sideways it rotates the view oddly. Fix the app so you can use an iPad properly and it would be 5 stars!
App Store
The camera is great, the only issue is when it comes to playback. The dates are horribly incorrect — you are unable to play back from the day of or a few days ago. Other than that, the app is fine.
Google Play
This is absolutely the best camera I've ever bought for outdoors. Where we live it gets well below freezing and this camera has never logged out or stopped working — it's been outside for 3 years. The image quality is great and the nighttime vision is even better. I would buy another one if I could!
Google Play
Camera is very clear and motion detection is A1. If the app worked properly it would have 5 stars. I get an alert but sometimes can't see in real time — the app times out and I have to reset it to load. Chekoh, please fix these issues!
Google Play
I think it's a connection issue but not sure — it glitches a lot. My other camera boots up faster. But Chekoh is super clear. A police officer checked the footage and said 'Oh wow, this is excellent quality viewing!' I love the app when it loads.
Google Play
After a couple of months having this cam, I can help with the major 'cam goes offline' issue. The power supply that comes with the camera is the problem. Change your power supply for a better one and the cam will stay online much more reliably.
Google Play
Have had these cameras for years — the cameras themselves are great. But the app has recently started crashing non-stop on all devices. What's the point of a security camera if you can't access the recordings without the app crashing?

How to Set Up the Chekoh App
Getting your Chekoh security camera running takes just a few minutes:
Download the Chekoh app from the App Store or Google Play
Create an account with your email address or log in if you already have one
Power on your Chekoh camera and wait for the voice prompt confirming it's ready to pair
Tap "Add Device" in the app and follow the on-screen pairing instructions
Connect to Wi-Fi — enter your 2.4GHz network password when prompted
Start monitoring — your Chekoh camera's live feed appears on your home screen instantly
The Chekoh app uses voice-guided pairing to simplify setup, making it accessible even for first-time camera users.
Storage Options
The Chekoh app supports local memory card storage for continuous and motion-triggered recording. With a compatible memory card, you can store up to 20 days of footage — no cloud subscription required. This makes the Chekoh system one of the more cost-effective options for homeowners who prefer on-device storage.
Cloud storage is available as an in-app option for users who want off-site backups and remote playback access. Cloud-stored recordings remain accessible even if the camera or memory card is lost or damaged.
Multi-Camera & Family Sharing
One of the Chekoh app's strongest features is its multi-camera support. You can connect and manage up to 16 Chekoh cameras under one account, viewing up to 4 cameras simultaneously in a split-screen layout. This makes the Chekoh system ideal for larger homes, small businesses, or multi-property monitoring.
Family and team sharing is built in — invite up to 15 authorized users to access your camera feeds. Each user can receive motion alerts and view live footage, keeping everyone in the loop whether you're at work, traveling, or simply in another room.
Who Uses the Chekoh App?
The Chekoh camera app serves a wide range of monitoring needs:
Homeowners keeping watch over entry points, garages, driveways, and backyards
Small business owners monitoring storefronts, parking areas, or warehouses without expensive professional systems
Families sharing camera access so multiple household members can check in on children or elderly relatives
Outdoor enthusiasts relying on Chekoh cameras in extreme weather conditions — users report reliable performance even in sub-freezing temperatures
