Almost perfect. My only complaint with AiCam is I wish there was a live audio video when viewing a device. We often use a craft cover with our dog, and often times we rely entirely on audio cues rather than visual. The AI detection works incredibly well though — it correctly identifies our dog versus our cat every time, and the familiar face recognition means we only get alerts for strangers at the door. Setup took about five minutes.
This app is a surprise. I got this app recommended by a friend and I have a spare iPhone X so why not. I have 3 cats, my roommate has 1 cat and none of them play along with other. When I go to work I set it up and AiCam detects each cat individually. The baby cry detection also works perfectly — repurposed my old phone as a baby monitor and the AI alerts are accurate. Best free security camera app I have used.
Great app! Simple, effective, and works seamlessly with older iPhones. I turned my iPhone 11 into a dedicated security camera for the front door. The AI detection is surprisingly accurate — it distinguishes between people, cars, and animals. The RTMP streaming feature is a bonus, I can stream directly to YouTube for archival. Developer is responsive to feature requests too.
